The sculptor and performance artist Tesfahun Kibru likes to use the means of self-staging. When he, dressed in a theatrical recycling outfit, collects things which, even in a situation of general shortage of materials, have been left behind. He is intrigued by the principle of chaos and destruction inherent in the remainders of modern consumer products, for here he also sees the possibility of surprise, of transformation and of improvisation.
